The Leadership Conference is a gathering of top students from each
                                                        participating AASCA School. The leaders of National Honor Society,

                                                        Student Government, and Class Officers and sports teams should be
                                                        among those attending.

                                                        The approach which has been the most successful has been one in
                                                        which,  given  the  very  talented  young  people  assembled,  we  take
                                                        advantage of the group dynamics.

                                                        Five  participants  from  each  school  are  allowed  along  with  one
                                                        chaperon.
                                                        This  year,  some  High  school  students  participated  in  the  "AASCA
                                                        Leadership and Service Experience " event in Antigua Guatemala. On

                                                        the second day students were asked to participate in activities where
                                                        showed  their  leadership  skills  and  they  were  taken  out  of  their

                                                        comfort zone in a boot camp.
                                                        The following are some of the goals that they achieved:

                                                              To understand the nature of groups.
                                                              To understand the importance of communication.
                                                              To understand the qualities of leadership in order to better
                                                               use them in school and community settings.

                                                              To learn new problem solving and decision is making skills.
                                                              To make new friends with students from similar schools in
                                                               order to provide the foundation of a peer network.



                                                                     To have a rewarding and fun experience.
